Kateryna Deruha

Head of client management for Google Business Profile and Google Maps advertising

Kateryna Deruha leads client management for Google Business Profile and Google Maps advertising at CyberLab.Team, where she has worked for more than ten years. She has known the product since it was still called Google My Business, and she has watched every rename, every rule change and every wave of suspensions since.

Her team looks after the listings small businesses actually live on. They set profiles up and get them verified, correct categories, hours and addresses that quietly send customers to the wrong door, recover suspended profiles, answer reviews, keep photos and posts current, and read the performance report for what it really measures. The other half of the work is paid visibility on the map, where a campaign is judged by calls, direction requests and enquiries that turn into customers, not by impressions.

Trained in tourism management, she spent years in the industry in several countries, with a focus on coastal and sustainable tourism. That is the side of local business she knows from the inside: hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, tour operators and everyone else who lives off travellers and gets found through Google Maps.

Since December 2025 she has also written for the NovusNews network (novusnews.eu, novusnews.co.uk, novusnews.de, novusnews.fr, novusnews.ca): several hundred articles across the five editions, mostly on travel. On CyberLab.Team she writes about Google Business Profile, and what she writes is what her team does every week: how a local business sets up, maintains and defends its listing, and what the changes in Maps and local search mean in practice.
